After a first pilot of Billhighway in spring 2008, Tri Sigma has renewed its interest in creating a successful pilot program. Billhighway is a financial management company, much like Omega Financial. It was specifically developed to accommodate the financial needs of the sorority community.
Billhighway offers financial tools in an easy-to-understand format to accomplish tasks such as invoicing members, collecting funds and paying bills on behalf of chapters. The program eliminates daunting accounting tasks, including all checks and balances. Services range from fiscal year budgeting tools to bank reconciliations to accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), as well as the ability to link up to the National Organization to enter new members, pay bills, and see pending items. The result of this pilot program will help determine whether the National Organization will have all chapters use a service such as this.
The following chapters will be participating in the fall 2008 pilot:
Alpha Iota at Northeastern State University
Alpha Zeta at Northwestern State University
Alpha Upsilon at James Madison University
Beta Xi at Southeast Missouri State University
Delta Beta at Elon University
Epsilon Nu at University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Eta Nu at Ramapo College of New Jersey
Eta Sigma at Culver-Stockton College
Eta Tau at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
Zeta Chi at Coastal Carolina University
Zeta Pi at Virginia Wesleyan College
Zeta Eta at Winona State University
Mizzou Colony

Taking Photos
Keep your photos as simple and uncluttered as possible. The fewer the subjects, the better. If you have many people at an event, go ahead and take a group photo, but also try to get some candid shots of smaller groups of two or three. Our new look allows for lots of photos! Dont be afraid to zoom in closely and frame the faces. If you have time, take more than one shot of each pose. That eliminates the possibility of red-eye, closed eyes, etc.
Electronic Submission of Photos
If you are using a digital camera and will be electronically sending your photos, please adjust your camera setting to the highest quality photo possible before taking the photos. This will initially take up more space on your disk, but you can save it to a lower resolution after you take it; we cant alter the photo to a higher resolution later if you take it at a lower level.
Please save the image as a JPG and send it to your editor, along with the corresponding information for each photo clearly indicated (name(s), chapter, event, date).
Submission of printed photos
You can submit photo prints, but please make sure they are high quality. We cannot make them better than they are! Mark the pertinent information on the back of the photo.

May is turning the corner as we head into the final phase of the Advisor Training Program called Evaluation and Completion. This is a great time to reflect on new and interesting information learned throughout the program as well as address any questions or concerns.
We are currently conducting a full evaluation of the program. All advisors (even if you didnt participate in the pilot), please click here to complete the evaluation. This feedback will help move the program toward best benefiting our incoming advisors.
Thanks for your questions about the program throughout the spring 2008 pilot. These questions have sparked great conversations that will also lead to necessary changes.
The Advisor Training Program will start full implementation this June. We will ask all newly appointed advisors (as of January 2008) to participate in the training program. From that point forward, all newly appointed advisors will be participating in an orientation call and moving through the 90-day training period.
Throughout the fall 2008 semester, we will be hosting training sessions for existing advisors to ensure they are comfortable facilitating their portion of the training program. Look for more information regarding these sessions!
Please continue to e-mail essentialtraining@trisigma.org with any questions/concerns/comments about the Advisor Training Program.

Danielle Kloap, Chapter President for Epsilon Beta was just awarded the Greek Woman of the Year at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Whale Done to Shannon Richardson, Alpha Beta, Kent State University, Kent, OH who is the recipient of the Greek Alumni Chapters 2008 Young Alumni Award.
Whale Done to Courtney Proffitt at Delta Chi, University of Virginia, for representing Tri Sigma at the Greek Orientation & Leadership Seminar (GOALS) in March.
Whale Done to Eta Xi chapter for raising more than $1,800 for cancer research.
Alpha Psi: Our chapter has done an amazing job in this past month. We're currently in the middle of our Greek Week, and we're already placing in many events. We took second place in Greek Sing much to the excitement of our director and sister, Alyssa Obradovich. For the first time in many years we had a sister crowned as Greek Week Queen Runner-Up. Not only are we doing a phenomenal job as an entire chapter with our high hopes of winning Greek Week, we have an individual star in our chapter. Our very own Sarah Cuadrado is the Editor-in-Chief of Eastern's Yearbook, The Warbler. All in all, our semester is ending in great ways, and we are all very excited to come back next fall for an amazing recruitment.
Gamma Xi: Some Whale Dones for the Gamma Xi chapter include that we held a Pampered Chef fundraiser and raised $524 and we held a Chik-fil-A fundraiser that brought in $172. We had a successful closed weekend this past weekend and initiated 14 girls. Our weekend was filled with sisterhood activities including dinner at our advisor's house, Our Next Top Model fashion show, Greek sing practices, and several others. It was great to see our chapter bonds become closer and stronger!
Beta Theta: We received a Whale Done for the April report attachments for minutes, recruitment and the budget being on time.
Zeta Delta: To date Zeta Delta has raised more than $1,800 for Relay for Life. We also had a successful recruitment with 10 new members.
Beta Epsilon: We raised more than $2,000 in our philanthropy last week.
Alpha Beta: On April 4, our sisters hosted an event for eight Girl Scout members. We helped them earn two badges -- Being Your Best and Looking Your Best. Our women had a wonderful time with these local fourth graders and really enjoyed talking to them about peer pressure and ways to stay healthy. Our women did a fantastic job by staying positive and motivated with the girls.
Epsilon Delta: I'd like to submit a Whale Done to Epsilon Delta for the highest GPA of all sororities on campus and the most members on Dean's list!
UCA Colony (NOW ALPHA OMICRON): Whale Done for installation.
Alpha Upsilon: Whale Done for Founders Day celebration at NHQ.
Zeta Psi: Whale Done for a great initiation.
Eta Nu: Whale Done for being flexible and getting tasks accomplished without having a leadership consultant this year.
Epsilon Mu: Whale Done for being flexible and getting tasks accomplished without having a leadership consultant visit this year.
Epsilon Zeta: Whale Done for the help with UCA installation.
Epsilon Beta: Whale Done for the help with UCA installation.
Alpha Iota: Whale Done for the help with UCA installation.
