VALUES

Christian values are an intrinsic part of each child’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual life at St. Benedict. The school, staffed by state certified teachers, offers a full traditional academic curriculum of language arts, mathematics, social studies, religion, science, computer, art, music drama, and physical education. An extensive library and media center is also maintained. Students participate in group projects and experiments in the classroom. In order to monitor the students’ progress, standardized tests are administered to all students each spring. The results are used to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses and to assist in instructional planning for each child. All students identified as in need of instructional assistance or individualized programs, are provided assistance.

St. Benedict students participate in class liturgy preparation, classroom plays, field trips, community service projects, and other extra-circular activities. All of these activities provide opportunities for parental involvement.

At St. Benedict kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms are self-contained while grades six, seven, and eight are departmentalized. St. Benedict also sponsors an after-school care program for its own students. This program provides a full range of activities to meet the needs of our families and functions on the school grounds.

St. Benedict appreciates all who show interest in the school. To apply for admission to St. Benedict School, call the school office for information on beginning this process. Tuition payments can be made monthly after registration and acceptance to St. Benedict.

Tuition payments are based on parishioner status and are published each year. Families may apply for tuition assistance through the Princeton Review Plan. Forms are available at the school for this application process. Students at St. Benedict wear designated school uniforms, and, the purchase of these as well as school materials are the parent’s responsibility.
