St. Benedict School, located at the corner of Belmont and Grove Avenue, is a Catholic elementary and middle school recognized by Virginia's Department of Education, and approved by the Virginia Council for Private Education. It is accredited by the Virginia Catholic Education Association. Instruction is offered from kindergarten through eighth grades. The majority of St. Benedict graduates continue their education at Benedictine High School and Saint Gertrude High School.

St. Benedict was established in 1919 as the parochial school of Saint Benedict Church and is still the Parish's largest community out reach. Enrollment is offered to active parishioners, Catholic non-parishioners and the community at large. The outcome is a student body which represents the ethnic and cultural diversity of the Richmond area.
